Cancel your active plan or package in the app. We cannot process a deletion request while a plan is active.
Cancelling ends your coverage. Premiums already paid are not refunded.

Review
Our team reviews your request. Your account stays as it is during this time — nothing is deleted or switched off yet.
Want to cancel the request? Call us with your reference number before it is approved and we will withdraw it. - Step 2
Approval
Once approved, your account is closed and you are signed out of every device. You will not be able to log in again.
Information management after account deletion
Upon deletion of your Chhaya account, information related to your identity verification (NID and KYC documents), policies, premium payments and claims will be retained for a minimum of 5 years from the date of deletion, in accordance with Bangladeshi law and our agreements with our underwriting partners.
These records are held in restricted storage, are not accessible to our general staff, and are used only to meet legal, regulatory and audit obligations. They are destroyed once the retention period ends. All other data linked to your account is permanently deleted.
